A Post

Since it's been eons since I last posted, one might think that I would have tons to tell you all about what life has been like in our little neck of the woods over the last couple of weeks.


But, one might be wrong.


We survived the Miss Mississippi Pageant and all of the various and sundry production meetings, autograph parties, rehearsals, preliminary competitions, and parades associated with it.  Instead of working with the prince and princesses this year, I worked backstage (Stage Left, to be exact) which was an entirely different world than I was accustomed to. (Apologies to my junior high and high school English teachers for ending that last sentence with a preposition. I'll try harder next time.)  Thankfully, I made all my cues and it turned out to be an excellent show.  I was rewarded by having my name listed in the credit roll at the end of the televised show on Saturday night.


I was probably a wee bit more excited about that than I ever admitted.  Until now.


Anyhoo.


I have now recovered and life has returned to normal (for the next couple of weeks, at least).  As of Friday I officially accepted a new job working in a clinic and will join the rest of world that works normal hours.


And do you know what that means?!


NO NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS!


I'm seriously not sure what it's going to be like to have a life again.


Hopefully, it will include learning how to crank out a reasonably interesting blog post or two.
