You know, you try to be a good blogger and post on a somewhat regular schedule after being a slacker and BAM. Life starts to get in the way.
And by life I mean 4th grade homework.
Seriously.
The fact that I'm home every night to help with homework may be the only downfall to this new job. Since Maddie started school, I've worked 12 hour shifts and my fabulous mom, ex-MIL, and ex-GMIL have always made sure that her homework was done every night by the time I got home. Little did I know how wonderful that really was.
It's not that there is so much that it takes us hours to finish it, but I do find myself spending a great deal of time re-teaching myself the lessons (and by the way, when in the world did 9 year olds start doing ALGEBRA?) so I can figure out how to help her. Heaven help us when she starts Geometry.
This is just more proof that becoming a parent has made me stupid.
Or that I should've paid a little more attention in Mrs. O'Neal's class instead of doodling I *heart* Jordan McKnight all over my notebook.

Bug has Spanish. In 7th grade. We're spending a lot of time at Taco Bell.
Oh No Geometry! I'll make daddy help with that homework when mine gets to be 9...or else he will fail. Good luck with that Algebra.
